Education is the backbone of a society. It is with regret that we find how badly the education system has been affected in the North,East and up country in Sri Lanka. Post May 2009 has imposed further hardships on our younger generation and the plight of the Destitute and underprivileged children of North,East and Upcountry. To this effect we at DOBAWI took the task to build a hostel that would house up to 100 such children and take care of all their needs until they complete their education up to the university level.

This mammoth task requires the united effort of everybody who could help in whatever way they can specially by way of finance. It is our expectation that the willing sponsors donate £3000 in full or in four instalments.

It is with pleasure that we can disclose that first such bighearted people who contributed all the cash gifts that they had for their celebrations for this noble cause. And with the very hearty thanks we declare that without the help of such people a big project like this will not be possible.

 

Our well wisher the Owner and the proprietor of ARM Associates and Fuschia Restaurant Mr.P.Srinivasan had his 70^th birthday celebrations on the 10^th January 2016 and the family kindly donated all the cash gifts he had to this noble cause.
